By using this site you agree to these terms. They are short because the site is simple.

The service

UK Live Rail Map is a free, independent information service. It is not affiliated with National Rail, the Rail Delivery Group, Network Rail or any train operator, and nothing here is an official announcement from them.

Accuracy — please read this one

Train positions, times, platforms and disruption information are relayed from the railway's own data feeds as received, with as little delay as we can manage. They can be late, incomplete or wrong, and a train can be delayed, re-platformed or cancelled after the moment you look. Do not rely solely on this site for a journey you cannot afford to miss — check the departure screens at the station or the operator's own information before you commit. We accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on information shown here.

Advertising and affiliate links

The site is funded by advertising and affiliate commissions. Links marked as sponsored, and the "Buy tickets" and "Buy a Railcard" buttons, take you to third-party retailers; if you make a purchase we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This never affects the train data you are shown. Retailers' own terms apply to anything you buy from them.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at volume, or access the data interfaces in ways that could affect other users — automated access is rate-limited, and the underlying data is licensed to us for display on this site, not for redistribution. If you want the data itself, it is available from Network Rail and the Rail Data Marketplace under their own open data licences.

Content and intellectual property

Our own text, guides and design are © UK Live Rail Map. Map imagery is © OpenStreetMap contributors and OpenRailwayMap (CC-BY-SA); train and station data remains the property of its providers. Trademarks of rail operators appear only to identify their services.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
